Finding suitable housing is a priority. Options range from on-campus residencies to shared apartments and homestays. Prices vary depending on the city and the type of accommodation you choose. On average, expect to spend around AUD 200 to AUD 400 per week.
Food & Groceries
Australia offers diverse dining choices, from restaurants to grocery stores. Cooking at home is cost-effective, with groceries costing approximately AUD 80 to AUD 200 per week. Eating out occasionally is enjoyable but remember it can add to your expenses.
Travel & Commuting
Australia's cities have well-connected public transport systems, making it convenient for students. Weekly transport passes can cost between AUD 30 to AUD 70. Biking is also a popular, eco-friendly option.
Health Insurance
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is mandatory. The cost depends on the duration of your stay and your chosen provider. It is essential to have comprehensive health coverage to ensure your well-being.
Entertainment
Exploring Australia's vibrant culture is a must. Enjoying movies, concerts, and dining out can be part of your experience. Allocate around AUD 80 to AUD 150 per week for leisure activities.
Working Part-time
Many international students work part-time to supplement their income. Australia's minimum wage is relatively high, providing opportunities for employment. We will advise you on the student visa regulations limits and working hours during the academic year.

Confirming of Enrolment (CoE)
Before applying, you must secure admission and receive a CoE from your chosen Australian educational institution. The CoE is an official document provided by your institution that confirms your course details, start date, and duration of the study.
English Proficiency
Depending on your course and nationality, you may need to prove your English proficiency. This is typically done through standardised tests like IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE. There are varying minimum requirements for each education level, and institutions sometimes set these requirements higher for certain courses.
Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)
You will need to prove that your intention to study in Australia is genuine and temporary. You will need to provide a statement explaining your study plans and why you intend to return to your home country after completing your studies.
Financial Capacity
You need to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living expenses. There are two options for meeting this requirement – provide bank statements, evidence of a scholarship or supply proof of your parent’s annual income, which must be AUD 62,222 in the year immediately before you apply.
Health Insurance
You must maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay in Australia. OSHC provides medical and hospital insurance during your stay. You will need to purchase OSHC for yourself and any accompanying family members before arriving in Australia.
Health Requirement
The Australian Government requires all international students to be in good health before entering the country. As a result, you may need to undergo a health examination and provide a medical certificate confirming that you meet these health requirements.
